Professor • Program Head • Research Mentor

I’m George V. Landon, Professor of Computer Science and Program Head for Computer Science / Cyber Operations at Cedarville University. My recent work centers on unresolved space object characterization (spectroscopy / photometry) and ML for sensing and reconstruction.

Bio

Background, interests, and current focus.

My background is in computer vision and computational imaging (PhD, University of Kentucky). Recent work emphasizes Space Domain Awareness using unresolved sensing modalities (spectroscopy / photometry) and simulation-driven evaluation. I also work on gamma-ray spectral analysis and sparse reconstruction, including feature-driven methods and hybrid model-based/learned pipelines.

Beyond research, I lead program development in computer science and cybersecurity education and mentor student teams spanning SDA, deep learning, graphics, and immersive systems.
